I’m looking for runners to join the
Youth Pastor Running Club Cohort.

I'm looking for ten youth pastors to join a Youth Pastor Running Club. Before you grab your tennis shoes, it is not what you think. I'm looking for youth pastors who see leading youth groups or school clubs as a high calling worth giving their life away to. I want people who know there is no more incredible place to be than in students' lives. A group that models the founder of Young Life Jim Rayburn's words, "We'd run through trees and parked cars just to spend time with teenagers." I'm looking for people who dream about reaching students for Christ and want to be part of a cohort with like-minded men and women chasing after the same thing.

So what will we do in this Running Club? I'm glad you asked.

  • Meet locally once a month for two hours.

  • Gather for two retreats. One will be at Group Dynamix to learn the theory of games and how to construct new games that will be a big hit with your youth group. The second retreat will be a full day at the Tod Bush Leadership Center. We will go through the "Hero on a Mission" workshop to teach us see ourselves as a hero with a clear mission for everyday.

  • Read two books together: "Sticky Faith: Youth Worker Edition" and "They Say I'm Crazy," to discuss and apply them to our ministries.

  • Look at scripture together.

  • Dream big dreams and pray big things.

  • Challenge one another.

  • Celebrate victories and share disappointments.

  • I will also be available to you as a resource and sounding board.

  • Since you are local, I can even visit your student ministry.
